This was one of the hardest things for me to begin doing. It is part of my character to be wordy as I am frequently told by a couple of my children! :-) I think that is when the storyteller or the teacher comes out in me. I worked for over 20 years in the educational system and I found that if I could make a student see what I was saying, then more than half the battle of learning was already won. Because it proved to me that I had captured their attention and they were now thinking and formulating things in their minds...
I carry this same concept in my book writing, from my personal beginning.
Mostly because when I was growing up and reading books, if the author could make me see what they were talking about in my mind then I wanted to continue to read... I never wanted the stories to end!
